1. Eat a good meal prior to trick-or-treating.
2. Make sure that kid's costumes are comfortable and safe to wear. Heavy halloween masks and tight Costumes may end up hurting the child.
3. Plan and review with your children the route you will take when trick-or-treating.
4. Always specifically assign kids to specific groups or adults. Don't leave instructions to "you have to stay in a group or with an adult" etc etc. Don't leave any grey area for misunderstanding. Kids must be very clear about who they are going to be with.
